This "Memory Pot" is a new exciting piece. This piece is created out of one slab of rolled out clay and then is beaten into shape. The style is referred to as bash pottery. I just keep beating the clay with a flat stick until I achieve the result I am looking for.
I currently have three of these in galleries, but this is the first one I am placing on line. This is also the only one that includes bronze chain as well as cork.
I planned to add cork to the piece after it was glazed and fired. The holes for the cork were created during the clay working process.
This is glazed in a cream crackle coloration and a bronze at the bottom. The pot stands approximately 5 1/2" high and 5" in diameter.
