Add a little Antique Whimsey to your decor!!
This is one of my favorite sellers from when I had my Antique Store. I love old carved wood pieces and old doorknobs so I combined the two and made this fun hook/hanger. I use them as towel hangers in my bathroom and they look great! It could be used for a coat rack, hat rack, kitchen towel........The wood is an old architectural piece called a plinth block which was used for a corner trims in old houses. The piece is 11" tall x 5" wide and 1-1/2 " thick. It is chunky and heavy, weighs 2 lbs. The wood is a dark reddish brown and has quite a few old nail holes. The doorknob porcelain and the ornate backplate a silvery metal with turn lock. The entire piece is heavily coated with a gloss coating so it is smooth and clean and will hold up to the damp towels. I have put a heavy wire hanger on the back for hanging.
This piece is signed, dated, titled and numbered on back.
