When my son went away to college, I needed "something to get my hands into". Several pottery lessons later, I set up a studio in my basement. And now I also enjoy giving lessons.
For me every project is unique and exciting because of the different shapes and the ways in which the glazes mix and flow uniquely with each firing.
I love the idea of something I created, from a simple, shapeless lump of clay, making someone else smile. Having pieces all around me, and in the homes of friends and others, is very rewarding, actuallly thrilling.
I am thankful to be able to pursue something that makes me feel so alive.
If you should see something you like and it's not available, contact me. Although my pieces are 'one of a kind' I could create a variation, and I'd enjoy trying. |
