I started to paint in 2004 as a hobby. In 2008 I quit my day job as a finance person and dedicated myself to painting. I started to take classes and paint almost every day, and now I am happy to be a full time artist. I work in my personal studio. My style is impressionistic; I love to paint landscapes and still life but am also trying different subjects and styles. I am using high quality acrylics. Even though, I started to paint with oils, I am using acrylics more often.
I paint because:
• It makes me smile.
• I can be a child again.
• When I paint, the whole world is mine and I can make purple leaves and green skies.
• I love yellow, purple and the smell of fresh cut grass. When I paint, I can smell the grass and the mountains.
• If I miss home, I paint it and can be there!
• I love contrast.
• I like the way the brush sings.
I paint anything that makes me happy:
o My grandfather.
o My hometown.
o My travels.
o A cup of coffee.
o My digital camera.
I paint my mood. I paint an image I see before I open the eyes in the morning. I am not hiding any secret messages in my paintings. What you see it’s what you get :me!
