Built at Republic Aviation Corporation Farmingdale Long Island, N.Y. This is a print of an original vintage photo. The printed image measures 8x10.5 on 8.5x11 paper leaving a border for easy framing. The paper is archival quality 65 lbs, cotton matte finish, ivory colored [ off white ] and adds to the vintage look and feel of the image. Prints are signed and dated on the back. The print frames nicely in a standard 11x14 mat and frame, mat with an 8x10 opening. The framed example is to show how nice the final appearance is. Mat and frame are not included. PARTLY BECAUSE OF MY SIZE 6FT.4IN.& 235 LBS AT THAT TIME. ROOMY COCKPIT, AN R-2800 PRATT AND WHITNEY WHICH DOUBLED ASA ARMOUR PLATE. iT WAS THE CADILLAC OF FIGHTERS WIDE LANDING GEAR AND FANTASTICALLY RUGGED. COULD OUT DIVE ANYTHING AND EIGHT .50 CALIBER GUNS. THE LATER MODEL D-25'S GOT A 360 DEGREE CANOPY AND PADDLE PROPS. TOUGH
