	All 4 of Dierdriana's Cartoons     Medieval Cartoons ~by Dierdriana Maureen W. Clifton Finding some life events silly, funny &/or amusing keeps us alive & on our toes! Certainly a good belly laugh is great for our spirits! After all, partly why most people are drawn to certain organizations has got to be for the entertainment value it offers! We, as people, like being amused! I ‘jest’ in a non-judgmental way! It is my opinion that the SCA is not really a re-enactment group, nor was its intent to be a historical group, as are some other organizations. So, when we play the ‘medieval game’ – part of that ‘game’ is being Kings & Queens, Prince & Princesses, Knights, Squires & Pages, Lords & Ladies, Barons & Baronesses, Dukes & Duchesses, Counts & Countesses, Court Heralds or Field Heralds, Seneschals, Marshalls, Exchequers, Peers of the Realm & Court Jesters – or any other ‘title’ bestowed upon or an ‘office’ held. In any capacity, services, arts, sciences or marshal art skills – whatever it happens to be – we must find the silly side of life & be amused, at times! ‘Medieval Cartoons ~by Dierdriana’ amused some, though not all. So, if you are amused by them, so be it! Enjoy my sense of humor. When I was Queen of the West Kingdom in 1984, I was oft quite amused by the Court Jester’s antics. It was great fun to lighten the mood & not allow things to become so serious – less we forget that we are ‘just playing a game!’ I believe that it is the populace who allows us to become whatever title we hold & honor it as such.
