We are a custom studio working in the copper foiled method of stained glass.
We like trains, as you can tell, but we are not limited to them. Other successful designs have included landscape, vehicles, planes, homesteads and building.
The artist makes a pattern from your photograph, ideas for background or foreground are considered.
Prices depend on the complexity of the design, and the number of pieces. The price would be given to you before the one- of a kind piece is begun.
We also mill our own frames. They are fashoned from local ash, which is stained with the stain of your choice, and hand rubbed to a warm patina.
The frame stock is available to other artisans to frame their creations.
TRAINFANS; Why not consider a window featuring YOUR favorite engine, or caboose, perhaps entering the depot of your choice? These would make a perfect gift for the retiring Railworker, or a model railroad afficianado.
We ship by United Parcel Service, or deliver to The Depot Inn in La Plata, Mo, a popular trainfan resort. We have a couple of examples of our work in the windows there.
