June 4, 2004 my life changed completely in the blink of an eye.
A severe accident robbed me of my ability to use my dominant hand. I declined my occupational therapist’s suggestion to use nursery school primers to gain dexterity in my non-dominant hand and decided to try art instead.
Art has not only provided me with an opportunity to train my hand but it has also been incredibly cathartic. What began as pure therapy has blossomed into commissioned pieces.
I love that my work appeals to others and best of all….when I paint…I am pain free! |
