F.F.A. Barn No. 1B

F.F.A. Barn No. 1B
Robert McCune

One of three barns used by Future Farmers of America students at a highschool in northeastern California's ranch country. (Same barn as F.F.A. Barn 1A, but was taken 12 years later. Obviously, the students do a real good job of maintaining the place).

Later, we were just across the border in extremely remote northwest Nevada, stopped along a barbed-wire fenceline and talking with a cowboy who had pulled in behind, in his pick-up truck. To check us out.

A Dodge Ram pickup truck with TEXAS plates eased to a stop on the other side of the dirt road. In the passenger seat was a fellow who looked to be in his late 50’s. Beside him was his daughter or a quite young wife, holding a Chihuahua dog on her lap.

Local cowboy excused himself and crossed the road to see what was up. Eavesdropping through Maggie’s rolled-down window, we listened to what was being said.

Dodge Ram driver: “If I continue on this road, am I going to run into civilization eventually?”

Cowboy, evidently taking no offense at the probably unintended slur about civilization: “Depends on what you mean by civilization.”

As you can see, my photos are of art gallery quality, showing careful and time consuming in-the-field composition.

The four smaller size photos are printed by myself, on Epson Ultra Premium gloss paper via a Canon MG6220 Photo Inkjet Printer with a 6-color cartridge system. The two larger sizes are printed on order at a professional photo lab on an Epson Stylus Pro 9800, using Epson Premium Luster paper with Ultrachrome inks.

The four smaller sizes will be mailed flat; the two larger sizes in a tube. Shipment will be within 14 days, unless Maggie and I are on a photo-shoot.

Artwork is copyrighted.
Am unable to offer matting and framing.

5½x6 double-page note cards are also available, with a 4x6 photo on the front, and Title and anecdotal info on the back of the card. These are mailed in packages of five (5). Select any mix of five of my photos, and advise me via email. Cards are premium heavy weight quality.

Orders from outside the U.S. are quite complicated due to each country's Import Value-Added-Tax. For instance, in Portugal this amounts to 23 percent of the value of the photo. Please ask about this via email. I’ll then check with the local post office, and get back to you via return email.

Please note. Your computer monitor might show lower brightness, contrast, and color than seen in the print itself. Also, there will be some loss of sharpness when zooming in to enlarge an image.
