A departure from my usual . . . lately I've been thinking about traveling and recalled the times I've become lost in unfamiliar but exciting semi-urban places, despite having a map - hence the title "Lost With Map." Each of the places seemed to be divided by a river or major road, one side more populated than the other, streets laid out in non-grid fashion and sometimes ending without warning. The difference in getting lost in a unfamiliar land - unlike getting lost en route to a local event - is everything still looks golden. Fun, unless there's a chance of encountering a cougar (that "getting lost" story involves a non-urban locale)
